Hanine Lebanese traditional restaurant

Hanine is a contemporary approach to re-creating a typical Lebanese Oriental restaurant. Consequently, the visual solution of the logo followed the same approach. Loosely based on the shape of traditional lebanese windows (major element in the architecture of the restaurant), it consisted of the word ‘hanine’ written in a modernized arabic calligraphic script that reads vertically, breaking the right-to-left direction of the arabic script. Contributing to this approach is the latin logotype typeface Mrs. Eaves, itself being a contemporary revival of 18th-century Baskerville.
