Almost Didot Reviving a 19th century didot

Almost Didot is a revival project I worked on during my first semester in TypeMedia. It is based on the typeface used in ‘Les Découvertes Les Plus Utiles Et Les Plus Célèbres’, a French book printed in 1859 and published in Lille by L. Lefort, Imprimeur - Librarie.
The project included a historical research about the Didot style (its geographical and historical context), the Didot dynasty and their achievements and the Didot revivals, as well as a process book detailing the different phases of the revival.
